Experience:

Takalani holds a BSc. Mining Engineering and Meng. (mining) from the University of the Witwatersrand and Mine manager’s Certificate of Competency (MMC) in Coal. He has 14 years in mining with his experience ranging from academia, production and consultancy within the SADC region. He has experience in long-term planning and optimisation with BHP Billiton Energy Coal (BECSA) and long-term planning manager who was responsible for two manganese mines and smelter operations. He was also part of the team that started Eskom’s underground coal gasification (UCG) geosciences team. His experience in consultancy involves due diligence reporting for various commodities, producing mine schedules and OPEX and CAPEX estimations for various mine developments.
